Art That Heals

In and Out of Gigs

Last year, in and out of gigs, Elliot produced a series of striking black and white limited edition serigraph prints with master printer Satch Grimley, incorporating quick, heavy strokes inspired by the ancient art of calligraphy. Recently Elliot has started working with architect Julio Carreon-Reyes, transitioning his unique style into 3-dimensional productions in wood.

An Austin native, Elliot Morgan graduated from the music program at the University of North Texas in Denton and now resides in East Austin. Currently playing bass in several bands, including his long-time band Hatch, and award-winning Riders Against the Storm, Elliot has developed a keen interest in exploring the relationship between jazz music, improvisation, and the individuality of mark-making in visual art. So far the work has been made into a series of serigraphs and 3 dimensional works made in wood.
